Stanley Barkan (1936 --) is a poet, educator and publisher. He is the founder and
mentor of Cross-Cultural
Communications, devoted to multilingual poetry editions. Making poetry
"work" in translation is a difficult art, and furthering the idea with such
intensity and dedication can only be the metier of a very special sort of
person.
